Introduction

The analysis module is the core of ALAS, providing powerful AI-driven tools to extract insights from your module time studies. This section describes how to work with processed videos, interpret results, and generate actionable reports.

Understanding Analysis Results

Video Processing Outcomes

After a video has been successfully processed, it becomes available in the Processed Videos section. Each processed video includes:

  • Activity Timeline: A chronological breakdown of detected activities
  • Labor Metrics: Quantitative measures of work efficiency and time allocation
  • Visual Annotations: Visual overlays showing activity regions and detection points

Analysis Dashboard Components

The analysis dashboard provides multiple visualization components:

  • Time Distribution Charts: Pie and bar charts showing time spent across activities
  • Efficiency Metrics: Key performance indicators for labor efficiency
  • Comparison Tools: Options to compare across operators, modules, or time periods

Working with Analysis Results

Viewing Processed Videos

  1. Navigate to the Processed Videos section from the dashboard
  2. Select a processed video from the list to open its details
  3. Use the video player controls to navigate through the recording

Interpreting Analysis Data

The analysis data is presented in multiple formats:

  • Summary View: High-level metrics and key findings
  • Detailed Timeline: Chronological breakdown of all activities
  • Activity Focus: Detailed information about each specific activity
  • Raw Data: Access to the underlying detection data

Generating Reports

Report Types

ALAS can generate several types of reports from your analysis:

  • Executive Summary: High-level overview with key metrics
  • Detailed Activity Report: Comprehensive breakdown of all activities
  • Comparison Report: Side-by-side comparison with historical data
  • Time Study Analysis: Traditional time study with statistical analysis

Export Options

To export reports:

  1. Open the processed video analysis view
  2. Click on the Export button in the bottom right corner
  3. Choose the data sections interest in
  4. Click Generate Report

Troubleshooting Analysis Issues

Common Issues

  • Missing Activities: Check ROI definitions and activity thresholds
  • Inaccurate Classifications: Review and update the activity definitions
  • Processing Failures: Verify video quality and format compatibility
